A communication designer and social designer, always seeking opportunities to design spaces and systems that embody and communicate care. Having grown up in different parts of India, I learned to value the strength in culture and diversity at a young age. It also meant that I got a front seat to witnessing the inequities that dissect my country, which translated into a passion for social impact.
I’m a compassionate leader, a reliable teammate, and thrive in creative collaboration. My strengths lie in research, strategy, and storytelling. In my last role, I was a Design Strategist at FLOX Studio, where I worked with non-profits and other mission-driven organisations on strategic planning, research design, organisational design, culture setting, designing workshops, and navigating complex dynamics through well-designed and thoughtful conversations. My work included asking the right questions, paying extraordinary attention to detail, being a presentation design ninja, and crafting meaningful narratives. I also led the education work-stream at FLOX, focusing on offering Community Design for Leaders (CDL)- a leadership curriculum, and FLOX Facilitation School in different formats customised to the audience and the environment it is offered in. In addition to that, I also worked on designing learning curriculums and unique facilitation/teaching experiences for FLOX’s client partners like the Design for Social Innovation and Products of Design programs at SVA, and the Transdisciplinary Design program at Parsons (The New School).
Currently, I’m a Design Strategist at Tankr Design, where I lead research and strategy for a client projects as well as internal initiatives. As a multi-disciplinary studio, Tankr sees a diverse variety of clients and project types bringing exciting challenges at each step. Apart from design, I also focus on business development and growth opportunities for the studio.
Happiest in my learner shoes, I work hard, both in my personal and professional life, to constantly keep evolving my understanding of power, privilege, and the design of systems. I have an endless capacity for conversation and enjoy learning from the people around me. I love eating, but one of the greatest joys of my life is cooking for the people I love. I learned at a very young age from my family that sharing food and culture can forge the strongest bonds, and continue to see it be true as I grow older!
